It's funny how quickly an interest becomes a passion. Rats, for me, have become a passion. I love my little ratties. They love to simply sit on my shoulder while I'm doing other things, and to get treats. When I get home from work and put my hand in the cage, the rats run over to kiss my hand and visit with me. It's like having little dogs there to greet you when you get home. Except, they don't pounce on me quite the way Jasper, my dog, does (because Jasper loves me BEST).
I wouldn't give my rats up for anything. They are incredibly affectionate animals, and very, very fun. The only regret I have about rats is that I didn't discover them sooner!

What I do: I play with my rats... and my dog. And I work at a pet supply store. And I go to school. A lot. So that I can play with animals in a professional way someday. Noticing a theme? I also have a family. Mom, Grandma, stepdad... important members, y'know. I also fell in love with a boy once upon a time, but that didn't really work out too well, so I'm single. Mostly I just work on one thing or another, except I also play with my animals. If they're not what maintains my sanity, I don't know what is.
