Is a Sunrise rat right for me?
All animals under my care are loved very much. I expect that if you wish to adopt rats from my rattery, you've done some research into the species and are sure that rats are the pet for you. Rats are NOT like hamsters. They require a bigger commitment from their owners, but also give more back, Rats require more attention, and need time every day to explore outside their cages.
Proper set-up for rats can be expensive. It helps costs to make some of your own toys or to build your own cage, but I can guarantee you that the set-up will cost you at least two times as much as the animal itself. I will not sell you an animal that will be housed inadequately.
Because I wish to place my rats in loving homes, every person wishing to adopt one of my rats must fill out a questionairre before being approved, and must fill out an adoption contract upon purchase of their rat.

Prices
All Sunrise rats will always be the same price as other rats from a litter. The reason for this is because I don't believe in altering the price of a rat for its physical appearance. Ultimately, temperment and health are the main goals of this rattery, and it's not like breeding rats is a profitable business in the first place.
Prices are currently $15*/rat. This price may be changed at any time, but I will notify you before you make any financial commitment to a specific animal.
Also, all rats must have at least one same-sex companion, so if you do not have any rats, you must purchase at least two.
A fee of $8 is required to reserve each rat. This amount must be received by me within one week of reservation to ensure that you get the rat you want. The reservation fee goes towards the total cost of your rat. This fee is non-refundable should you change your mind.
*Breeding contracts are an additional $5. These contracts are not available to everyone. Only approved breeders may purchase a breeding contract. Also, discounts may be available for those getting more than one rat. Please contact me for more information on discounts.
